Bright and bold, developed using traditional macramĂ© techniques for over 15 years, The Jacksons jute bags are both practical and playful. Designed in our Notting Hill studio then handmade by craftswomen in rural southern Bangladesh, theyâre the perfect beach bag, shopper, travel bag or stylish everyday tote.
Our bags are crafted entirely from locally grown jute, an extremely strong raw material which grows abundantly in Bangladesh. Known locally as the âgolden fibre,â jute has a low environmental impact, absorbing carbon dioxide and improving air quality.
The women who create The Jacksons bags are paid directly for the work that they do. Weâre proud to be working in a project to increase financial independence for women in 60 villages across Southwest Bangladesh.
